Rules!

General
  1. Don't be an asshole.
    • Just be a nice person!
    • Be respectful; we have many different kinds of players at different levels of progression and skill levels.
  2. Please respect authority.
  3. If someone is bothering you or isn't following the rules, tell an officer if you can't resolve it.
  4. If someone gives you feedback on your behavior or is offended by something you say, be considerate.
  5. Please, please talk to an officer if you are having a negative experience. We want to continually improve and help make the FC somewhere you belong.
  6. If an officer is abusing their position, let Kizu know.
  7. Don't ask to be promoted or demand we kick/demote another member.
    • EXCEPTION: If you've been active for a while but are still a Thrush, talk to an officer; it's possible we just haven't noticed or Kizu has been slacking.

In-game Chat
  1. Please don't post macros in FC chat. Especially don't spam them.
  2. If you have a personal argument with someone, use /tells.
  3. If you want to have a personal conversation that doesn't and will never concern the rest of the FC, use /tells.
  4. I never thought I'd have to say this, but lately we've had some conversations take our carefree/lewd nature too far. Let's calm our BUTTS a little.

Recruitment
  1. New members (including friends of existing members) may apply to the FC through our website or the in-game application system (preferred).
  2. After a brief chat with a Bluebird, new members will go through a brief Trial period to gauge culture fit.

Membership
  1. Once an officer notices you're active, you'll be promoted from Thrush to Robin.
  2. Being active means participating in FC Chat or doing game activities and content with other members.
  3. Robins CAN be demoted back to Thrush-hood of they are inactive for a long period of time (around 90 days).
  4. Members CAN be booted from the FC if they are inactive for an even longer period of time (around 150 days).
  5. Exceptions for demotion and purging include
    • During content lulls, such as the one before Heavensward
    • People who provide good reasons for an extended leave
    • Members that have been a part of the FC for a long time that we have gotten to know well (that have made it clear they intend to return)
  6. Currently, officers are chosen through a nomination process as needed.

Member Ranks!

These are the member ranks as seen in game. The forum ranks are similar but not exactly the same. (Blackbirds are admins of the website, specifically. Bluebirds are officers, raiders are Robins, and everyone else is a Thrush.)

Typically you can assume that each rank has the privileges of the ranks below them.

Blackbird & Raven (Kizuten Sakki, Kasrana Sieghart)
Co-leaders of the guild
  • Can do everything (although only Kizu can change rank permissions)
  • We exist mainly for conflict resolution and looking pretty
  • Please talk to us if you're having problems with other members or officers!

Bluebird (Luuvi Prynne, Saya Miyamoto, Zyrkhan Dar'locke, Nota Taru)
Officers
  • Can purchase FC buffs/actions
  • Can manage the house, garden, and workshop
  • Can kick troublesome members
  • Officers are good people to go to if the co-leaders are not online

Chocobutts
Non-combat helpers
  • Help create, organize, and run community events
  • Help with crafting and gathering needs
  • In charge of certain aspects of the FC house, such as gardening or chocobo stabling

Princess Parrot
Pretty princess
  • Can manage the house and garden

Rooks
Raid leaders
  • Can purchase FC buffs/actions

Sparrow
Airship Captains
  • Can embark on exploratory missions

Robin
Active members
  • Can activate existing FC buffs

Kitties
Members from the Nekked Kitties LS
  • Can activate existing FC buffs

Thrush
New members/default rank
  • New members on Trial or who haven't interacted much with the FC yet

VOIP(s)!

Our official FC voice and text chat service is Discord. You can access it via the module on the home page of the Blackbird website. (I'd post the information here, but this forum is open to the public, while the module is only open to members.) Feel free to also ask for an invite link.

This is currently the VOIP of choice for Bluebirds and most of our FC raid groups (currently 4). We use Discord as a FC chat outside of the game, basically, so join us for some 100% Orange Juice during maintenance!

If you'd like to have your own channel for your static or group of friends, just let Kizu know. Try to use temporary invite links when inviting pugs to our server!

Update: Discord now supports mobile devices, so all the PS3/4 players that were unable to try it out, you can!

A Message From the Bluebirds!

We, the Bluebirds of BUTTS, pledge to
  • follow the rules and set good examples for everyone
  • serve as mediators and help resolve conflicts
  • handle situations in a neutral manner (or pass it on to another officer if we cannot)
  • uphold the rules and confront those who do not
  • never use our powers for evil
  • communicate clearly when we need more time to handle a situation or provide an answer
  • be transparent in what we do on behalf of the FC
  • stay in contact with other officers to make sure everyone knows what's going on and can help accordingly
  • take into account suggestions and feedback from our members
  • organize events and activities with Chocobutts and volunteers
  • identify member and FC needs and act accordingly
  • manage and organize FC resources and shared properties (e.g. airships, the house, gardens)

We reserve the right to
  • warn members who break the rules
  • boot members who break the rules consistently (3 strikes)
  • immediately boot members with no warning in certain exceptional circumstances, such as harassment or cheating
