Hey all~

In case you haven't noticed already, yesterday we introduced a new event type – FC raffles. Since this is our first one, we'll be gauging interest to figure out whether this is something we'd like to continue. For now, we've tentatively decided on one raffle per week with prizes ranging from rare airship and gardening items we've procured ourselves to hard-to-obtain (*coughoverpricedcough*) goodies from the Market Board.

The typical structure for each raffle is the same. We announce the next week's raffle once the previous week's raffle has concluded, allowing roughly one week for buy-ins. The price of each raffle's ticket will be roughly determined by the approximate market value(s) of the item(s) being raffled. All money used to buy-in to the raffle will be deposited into the FC Chest. (You can find more details on our current raffle's event page.)

If you've ever glanced into our FC Chest, whether to check out what random crap we have stored or to donate to the FC for the raffle or otherwise, you may notice we have accumulated a decent chunk of change. We figured this might be a good time to open up the conversation regarding our FC funds and what we use them for.

So far, there are several ideas already being considered:

1. We'd like to keep the raffles going, assuming interest level stays high. Since we may not always have cool items to raffle out on hand, we may spend some FC funds for future raffle prizes.
2. Both our house and the airships have cost a decent amount of money, and some of those costs were covered from personal pockets. We'd like to be able to repay (at least in part) the BUTTS involved in recent FC endeavors.
3. Following from the previous point, we have many DOL/DOHs that have helped out immensely with other members' melding and crafting needs. We want to figure out some way to thank them. (Maybe some help with gearing?)
4. We haven't forgotten about other FC events! Our first event ever did have gil prizing, and that's still an option, although we feel item-based prizes may be more interesting. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
